Our last Black Wax gig seems like a long time ago but that’s because so much has happened since. A warm up show for Rebellion Festival featuring the Newtown Neurotics, UnPunk’t and Cherry & Peesh, complimented by DJ Eddie O’Toole, and it couldn’t have been any warmer!

Show 30 is up! Brandy Row live.
Quite a delay in getting this one up, but it really is worth the wait. Black Wax returned to the air waves one last time and Brandy Row performed an outstanding live session. You can hear the full show including a short interview with Brandy Row right here –
Black Wax Live! The Teamsters
Another live special with The Teamsters in session, made all the more special with it being their last ever live performance! Add to this the usual mix of quality punk, soul, rock & roll spinning on the decks and you’ve got one hot show to warm up these cold winter nights!
Black Wax Live! With Henri Herbert
The wait it over!
Here in all it’s glory is show number 28. It’s the usual mix of killer Rock & Roll, Punk and Soul, with regular features –
Classic Album – We hit the hit on Joe Jackson’s ‘Look Sharp’
Some Weird Song – Mauro introduces us to Oh! Gunquit who you can catch live at the SWS/Dirty Water Club Halloween Party
7 Minutes Of Soul – 2 tracks back to back this week from the Motown label
It’s Alive! – We’ve heard rumblings from Thee Hypnotics… could it be??
Show 27 is up!
Show 27 is up! Ricci Ashoori sat in on Mic 2 as we paid tribute to Black Wax fave Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. We continued our exploration of Joe Jackson‘s debut LP ‘Look Sharp’, checked in with Mauro Some Weird Sin for this week’s Some Weird Song from Miscalculations. It’s Alive came curtesy of The Jam‘s ‘Dig The New Breed’ live album whilst Al Green and the Bar-Kays gave us our 7 Minutes Of Soul.
We let Ricci loose for ‘Ric’s Pick’ and spun a hefty mix of Rock N Roll, Punk and Soul from The Hives, Cyanide Pills, Squeeze Official, Cute Lepers, Thee Vicars, Ramones, Brandy Row and more!
Play it loud!
Black Wax 25 is up!
Woah there! Someone’s been slacking big time. This show took place on 16th July and I’ve only just got round to posting it here. Sorry! This was my last show before a scheduled break for summer (summer!? Umbrella season) and it’s the landmark show 25! Even if I do say so myself, this show is great! I’d been absent for a couple of weeks previous and it was good to be back in spinning records.
Black Wax 23 & 24 Graham Sits In!
A very big thank you to Graham McIsaac for sitting in for a couple of Black Wax shows. It was very much appreciated – I can only apologise for exposing you to the curse of the Black Wax Deck 2!

Some great tunes here –
Black Wax 22 is up!

A return to the ‘mixed bag’ format of playing a cross genre mix of hot tracks! Cheap Trick were rockin’ London in the week so out came the Dream Police picture disc!
Black Wax 21 is up!
The black wax was melting during this show! The weather had me in a soul mood, so here it is for you to enjoy again whilst the sun stays out… and when it goes in play this show out loud for a reminder of brighter times.
A little bit of rock n roll and a nod to Father’s Day too. Enjoy!
Black Wax Live! Show 20
It seemed quite fitting that this milestone show should be a Black Wax Live session. Since launching the show I’ve always been thinking of ways of keeping it interesting for myself whilst making shows that people are going to enjoy listening to and being part of. This show ticked all the boxes. You get great music choices and a brilliant live performance from an ever charismatic Attila The Stockbroker. Punk poetry may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but listen in and I’m sure you’ll hear something you can at least agree with, and hopefully enjoy. It’s different, but different is good.
Enjoy.
